This cyanotype was made in the Birmingham sunshine with a sycamore leaf foraged on a walk in my local woodland.

Size: 9cm x 12cm / 3.5in x 4.7in

Paper: 160gsm Fabriano Tiziano paper in grey.

Cyanotype is a historical photographic process that uses UV rays from the sun to expose chemicals painted onto fabric and paper. When exposed and rinsed, the chemicals turn blue.

Sold unframed and unmounted.

Cyanotypes are archival, however it is advisable to display the print away from direct sunlight which can cause print to fade. If fading occurs, washing the print in a dilute bath of hydrogen peroxide will usually restore it to its original intensity.
